Class years for the Heartland Diversity Legal Job Fair are based upon the year of graduation. When registering, please use the below guide:
2L = Graduating in 2020
3L = Graduating in 2019
Recent Grad = Graduating in 2018
Failure to register as the correct class year may result in cancellation of interviews.
The interview process will be conducted on a 50/50 scale. Employers will pre-select one-half of the students whom they wish to interview. The remaining one-half of the interview schedule will be filled based on lottery. All interviews will be conducted in individual office spaces.
The diversity panel will feature some of Kansas City’s finest diverse attorneys to give insight on what it is like to live and work in the City of Fountains. The panel will be held at KCMBA Headquarters in downtown Kansas City on Friday, August 10 at 4:30 PM.
The welcome reception will be held at KCMBA Headquarters in downtown Kansas City immediately following the Diversity Panel.
Student Hotel Accomodations
The Job Fair will be held at The University of Missouri – Kansas City at the Atterbury Student Success Center, Pierson Auditorium. The Heartland Diversity Legal Job Fair will have a limited number of hotel rooms reserved for students who reside more than 50 miles from Kansas City. Rooms will be $50, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Room arrangements must be made through HDLJF and not directly with the hotel. On Friday, parking is offered under the building at 2300 Main Street. Validation will be offered upon arrival to the KCMBA Office in Suite 100.
On Saturday, parking is free in the lot next to the Atterbury Student Success Center at 5000 Holmes, Kansas City, MO 64110.
