Rooms will be $50**, and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Room arrangements must be made through HDLJF and not directly with the hotel.

If you are interested in reserving a room, please contact email committee@kcmba.org or by calling (816) 474-4322.

**Once all rooms are reserved, normal hotel rates will apply.

Interview Process

The interview process will be conducted on a 50/50 scale. It is KCMBA's goal for students and employers to mutually select each other during the bidding process. In the event your schedule is not filled, you may be placed in an interview with an additional employer you may not have initially selected. Employers will pre-select one-half of the students whom they wish to interview. The remaining one-half of the interview schedule will be filled based on lottery. All interviews will be conducted at KCMBA headquarters and will begin at 8:30 am on Friday.

Students will have a maximum of eight interviews, and will have additional opportunities to meet and network with employers throughout the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions About Bidding

What is bidding? Bidding is how students secure interviews and refers to the process in Symplicity where one ranks the employers from highest to lowest based on student's interest in having an interview with that employer. This is how the employer gets a student resume and learns about their interest in an interview. Bidding must be done in order to secure interviews and ensure participation in the Job Fair. Bidding concludes at midnight, Central Time, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Should I bid on all employers? We encourage all students to bid on each employer, especially if you are interested and/or would like to learn more about a summer experience with an employer. Even with a low priority, bidding would allow the employer to have access to your resume and will allow KCMBA to schedule interviews to your interview schedule. Please note: the more bids you cast increases the opportunities for securing interviews.

Diversity Panel

The diversity panel will feature some of Kansas City’s finest diverse attorneys and legal professionals to give insight on what it is like to live and work in the City of Fountains. The panel will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024. Additional details to be announced.
